Project Background
As a Design Assistant, I grew as a designer and a strategist and learned how to build strong brand presence using digital design. I participated in brainstorm sessions, pitch desck building, and working on a range of social media and print media for internal and external clients, notably Amazon Music, The Summer I Turned Pretty, The Marvelous Mrs.Maisel, BET+, and Netflix. On this page is a select few works from my experience at Ralph.
Ralph Internal Assets
Ralph, known for its emotional, fan-centered approach to entertainment, was undergoing a brand transformation, and my role was key in experimenting with brand voice across both internal and external communications. I designed decks that featured works of the design team, titled “Last Month’s Best,” every month starting from July until December to celebrate the best graphics created by the static and motion teams.
Client: Amazon Music
I was assigned multi-platform social assets featuring artists, making use of their comprehensive brand identity by designing assets that evoked impactful connection and were direct, consistent, and emotive. I used Adobe Photoshop to enhance quality, color-grade, and brighten music and show visual assets, incorporating branded elements like gradients, typefaces, and color palettes.
Amazon Music’s social strategy delivered artist-related content, custom top hit and seasonal playlists, and talent features to passionate fanbases. I worked on a variety of graphics that demonstrated my image selection, typesetting, and photo manipulation skillset.
Client: The Summer I Turned Pretty
With a design-centered role, I delivered social activations for the Amazon Prime show The Summer I turned Pretty, a series of Instagram posts that captured the show’s unique brand voice—empathetic, a little messy, and deeply connected to the bond between the protagonists, Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah, as they fight to save their beach house and summers together.
I used Adobe Photoshop to polish snaps from the show, editing color and lighting to suit Instagram and Twitter.
These social activations I delivered helped engage a passionate fanbase by tapping into the emotional core of the show.
